Laser Cutting Services with one of the largest lasers in Chicago
Having one of the largest lasers in our area, Chicago Metal Fabricators is positioned to meet the special needs of our customers. Our 6,000 W linear motor drive laser can handle 20 gauge steel up to 1.25 in., stainless up to 1 in., and aluminum up to 0.5 in. The large table size handles material 10 ft wide by 40 ft long at traverse speed of 4,700 ipm. This machine combines power and speed to rival plasma cutting but offers the fine details found in lasers. CO2 laser features flying optics, 3-axis cutting ability, and ±.001 in. accuracy, which allows the machine to perform fine detail work on heavy plate and parts down to 20 gauge material. This versatile laser eliminates secondary drilling, boring, and punching operations.
